On Facebook there is a group called, "
George W. Bush's Last Day in Office", this group is a liberal celebration of Dub's last day in office, which will be a sad day for me. I urge conservatives to get on there, click 'Not Attending', and post your support for Bush. Right now the not attending almost doubles those attending, which is a huge message in a show of support for our President. He was the first President that I had the privilage to vote for, and I am proud of my vote for him. One of the comment on the groups discussion board was as follows,
"Our economy is taking the biggest nosedive in decades, our foreign relations amount to absolute jack, the middle class shrinks more and more everyday, health care is a joke, and to top it all off, Congress is spending countless hours trying to fry Rodger Clemens rather than fix, you know, something important. So you're right, David, we're all pissed about the war and not this bumbling shmuck who bought his way into the whitehouse." (Murray Parent)
I responded to these fallacies with this,
"Before you attack Bush, maybe you should do your research. First, on the issue of the economy, a lot of companies are still reporting gains in Jan. '08, unemployment is still under 5%, and inflation is still under control so that means no recession at the moment. The National deficit shrank in 2007, and continues to shrink. Wall Street investors in a poll stated that the volatility of the market is around 50% due to fear that a democrat will win the presidency and raise taxes, around 30% due to the mortgage crisis caused by the banks making ridiculous loans that people could not pay back. The economy is fundamentally strong because of Bush's tax cuts and total economic policy.
Secondly, foreign policy must be doing something. Just yesterday, Kosovo declared independence from Serbia, with their people in the street waving American and the Kosovo flags. North Korea has come to the negotiation table, Pakistan is holding Democratic elections today for the first time in many years, and the creation of a Palestinian state is closer than it ever has been due to George W. Bush bringing the Palestinian Authority and the Isreali Government to negotiations. A Palestinian State is expected to be agreed on by next year. That seems like some pretty good foreign achievements.
Health Care is a joke because of frivilous law suits driving insurance prices up. Government health care would be a bigger joke, while you watch the quality of health care diminish. Last of all, it was all of your precious Democratic controlled congress that tried to fry Roger Clemens, not Republicans or Bush. President Bush and the House Republicans objected to the hearings, because they said they should be doing something productive and not waisting their time with frivilous investigations. So before any of you try to talk down about OUR President, you should do your research before opening your imbecilic mouths.
Thank you and GOD BLESS PRESIDENT GEORGE W BUSH!!!!"
The mainstream liberal media is starting to get their ultimate wish. The young voters are believing false and totally incoherent "facts" about what is going on. It bothers me greatly how only one side of the news is being reported. Now, both political parties are going to the left. The Republican party has been hijacked by independents and centrists, electing McCain as the GOP nominee. McCain has shown himself how he dislikes Conservatives. The Democratic Party is starting to lean towards Obama. Obama makes Hillary look like a moderate at the least, if not a conservative. It is time for both sides of the story to get out and it starts with us. The Silent Majority can be silent no longer.
